nabór do TUF 12...
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych Użytkowników]

Open tryouts for "The Ultimate Fighter 12," which took place this morning in North Carolina, drew more than 300 reality-show hopefuls, including some notables names who previously competed for World Extreme Cagefighting, PRIDE Fighting Championships and event a past edition of "TUF," Spike TV officials today confirmed with MMAjunkie.com ([link widoczny dla zalogowanych Użytkowników]).

And though today's session at the Omni Charlotte Hotel's grand ballroom in Charlotte drew notables such as recent WEC fighter Mike Budnik and PRIDE/King of the cage vet Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett, one arrival provided perhaps the biggest surprise.

Jason Guida.

Guida, a veteran fighter and older brother to UFC lightweight Clay Guida, is perhaps best known for his inability to make weight for a "TUF 8" opening-round elimination fight. His quest to cut the final weight was the focus of the "TUF 8" season debut and ended as he pleaded with Nevada State Athletic Commission officials, who said he could no longer safely cut any more weight.

Guida never got to the fight and was booted from the show.

The fighter, who recently snapped a five-fight losing streak with an upset of Logan Clark at an October Fight Nation event, now hopes to secure a spot on "TUF 12," which debuts on Spike TV in September with lightweight (155-pound) and light-heavyweight (205-pound) fighters.

Budnik (8-4), a former X-Games gold-medal inline skater who had four fights with the WEC, and Bennett (22-16-2), whose long list of notable opponents is only surpassed by a lengthy rap sheet, both look for a spot in the 155-pound division. Like Guida they had to grapple, hit pads and mitts, and interview with show producers during the tryouts.

UFC president Dana White, executive producer Craig Piligian, producer Jamie Campione and Spike TV executive Brian J. Diamond were on hand to judge the competitors, whose tryouts coincided with UFC Fight Night 21, which took place Wednesday in North Carolina.

Notables such as Joe Lauzon, "TUF 6" cast member Matt Arroyo, "TUF 10" fighter Darrill Schoonover and even "TUF 11" cast member Kris McCray were also on hand to watch the proceedings and support fighters from their gyms.

Ciekaw jestem czy wezmą recydywe Benneta żeby nabić sobie ppv, swoją drogą to zdziwiłem się, że w ogóle na wolności jest
