In the second round he eliminates Poland representative who is vice-european champion from Varna. Senpai Trampov wins the quarterfinal with wazari, but at the semifinal, he loses from the world and triple European champion Paulis Klapatauskas from Lithuania. There are three fights of senpai Trampov versus Bargard Gardner from Germany, third in the heavy weight division at the world cup in 1997, and in the three fights they had, senpai Trampov wins, although his opponent is 10kg heavier.
1997 - 2nd place at the European championship in Berlin - heavy weight division. Senpai Trampov wins his first fight with ippon and at the quarterfinal for third time eliminates Gardner from Germany who is in the best 16 at the World championship the same year. At the semifinal in Denmark, senpai Trampov loses against the European champion Rustamov from Azerbaijan.
He is participant at the World championship in 1995. In his debut at World championship, he eliminates in the first round a Canada representative and in the second, he faces the heaviest competitor at the World championship, a Croatia representative. He loses in the last extension with minimum advantage of the Croatian.
2002 - he reaches the 1/8-final at the European cup in open weight division. In the first round, he eliminates the heaviest representative from Ukraine. Dimitar Trampov loses in a hard fight against Lithuania competitor.
2003 - 3rd place at the European championship in Lithuania in 90kg weight division. He wins in the first round with ippon, after that eliminates Stefanovich from Hungary by judge decision and at the semifinal, he loses against Croatian representative.
2004 - 3rd place at the European championship in Plovdiv in 90kg weight division. In the first two rounds senpai Trampov eliminates Czech and Romania representatives and at the semifinal he loses in weight decision against Ukraine competitor. Senpai Trampov takes the tameshivari cup with 14 boards.
He is sportsman № 4 of Plovdiv for 1997 and № 9 for 1999.
Now senpai Trampov is instructor and coach assistant in ASKK "Trakia" in the Central dojo.
