Senpai Valeri Dimitrov starts practicing karate in 1995. Since 1997, he is competing for ASKK "Trakia" and he is always in the best 3 at National competitions for juniors and men. Twofold winner of the "Vereya" cup (1999 and 2000), bearer of the trophy for best technique fighter. At his debut in National championship for men in Plovdiv 1999 he is second in the 78kg as he steps back only to the most experienced competitor senpai Marin Petrov.
In 2000 at the National tournament for men in Sofia he is champion. The same year he wins the tournament "Super guard" and the trophy for the best competitor of the tournament. Ever since then he is unbeatable at National tournaments.
Fourfold bearer of the cup for the best technique fighter at national tournaments, which is indicator for the excellent qualities of senpai Dimitrov. The successes at International tournaments are not late. At his debut in European championship in 2001 in Spain, he becomes champion in the middleweight. This is surprise even for the Bulgarian team. He wins 5 fights to the final where in dramatical fight he eliminates the Spanish favorite - Hose Carpena (Pako Pepe). The senpai Dimitrov talent doesn't stay unnoticed even from the European judges who award him with the prize for best technique fighter. Besides, he breaks the biggest number boards at the competition and wins the prize for tameshivari. This competition stays in the Bulgarian kyokushin history as the only one with two European champions in their debut (senpai Dimitar Popov is first in the 70kg division). At this great event the president of the World Karate Organization - Kenji Midori is there. He is very impressed by senpai Dimitrov and invites him to train in Japan for 2 months and to participate in two Japanese tournaments and several camps.
Senpai Dimitrov proves his class again as he wins the two tournaments in which he participates (Amami and Fukuoka). One more invitation for participation in Japanese tournament follows. This time it is the First International Tournament in Fukuoka. There are participating some of the best fighters from Japan, also from Europe, Russia, and South America, invited by Midori Shihan. In the first round, he eliminates Roman Nesterenko from Russia, who is chosen to represent his country at the World cup in 2001. At the second round, the hosts’ representative Yuchiro Osaka (vice-world champion 2003, open weight) eliminates him. The weight difference between them is more than 30kg, despite the Japanese fighter doesn’t supersede senpai Dimitrov. 2 months later senpai Dimitrov represents Bulgaria at the European championship in Hungary where he becomes champion in open weight division.
At his way to the final, he has 5 fights and eliminates the Lithuanian favorite Donatas Imbras (European champion for 2003, 2004 in the heavy weight division, third in the open weight division for 2000). In 2003, he participates in the yearly held seminar in So-Honbu, Tokyo. At the European championship in Lithuania the same year, he becomes second in the 80kg division. He wins all his fights in the regular time, 2 of them with wazari, the third one with knock out. At the final, he faces the routine German competitor Muzafer Bacak (vice-world champion 1999, open weight division). This tournament is check for the World championship in Tokyo in October the same year.
There senpai Dimitrov eliminates with wazari in the first round a Maritious representative. In the second round, he eliminates a Costa Rica representative. He wins the next fight with ippon against Hungarian representative. At the 1/8 final, he eliminates Maxim Shevchenko from Russia.
The biggest surprise at the competition is at the 1/4 final, where he knocks out the Japanese favourite for the world title - Norichika Tsukamoto (World champion 1996, open weight division; World champion 1997, +80kg. division; numerous All Japan champion, open weight division and heavy weight division). At this moment even the Japanese think that, he is going to be the new world champion. Bad luck stops senpai Dimitrov at the semifinal versus his old acquaint Yuichiro Osaka.
This time senpai Dimitrov has a heavy injury on his knee, because of twisting. The fight is stopped. Unfortunately, he cannot fight at the "little final", because of the injury. That is how he becomes automatically number 4. This is the greatest success for the Bulgarian kyokushin until now.
In 2003 senpai, Dimitrov defends nidan at the summer camp in Ravda in front of the prestigious exam commission with chairperson shihan Tokujun Ishi (5th dan).
In 2005 senpai Dimitrov is back at the tatami. After his recovering by a hard knee injury, he becomes European champion in Denmark and champion at the World cup in the middleweight in Osaka - proves for his unquestioned class.
In 2006, he becomes National champion and takes the prize for best technique competitor. Аt the European championship in Budapest, he wins his 4 fights with ippon and he is again granted with the best technique trophy. A fact and recognition, which state for the incredible abilities of senpai Dimitrov.
Senpai Dimitrov becomes again champion at the European championship in 2007. He knocks out all of his 5 opponents to the final. This ensured him the best tehnique award of the tournament. It is 3d prize of such forum for senpai Dimitrov.

One of the most long time competitors in the dojo. He starts his sports career in 1987. Since 1989, he is always at the best three at the National tournaments for men. Numerous National champion and winner of the "Vereya" cup championship. Since 1989, he is in the National team of Bulgaria.
Participation in the international tournaments in Varna
1st place - 1989, 2nd place - 1990, 3rd place - 1991.
Since 1993, he is participant in all European and Balkan tournaments.
1994 - 3rd place at the Balkan tournament.
1995 - 3rd place at the European championship in Romania in 80kg division.
In the second round he eliminates Poland representative who is vice-european champion from Varna. Senpai Trampov wins the quarterfinal with wazari, but at the semifinal, he loses from the world and triple European champion Paulis Klapatauskas from Lithuania. There are three fights of senpai Trampov versus Bargard Gardner from Germany, third in the heavy weight division at the world cup in 1997, and in the three fights they had, senpai Trampov wins, although his opponent is 10kg heavier.
1997 - 2nd place at the European championship in Berlin - heavy weight division. The fights are exceptionally hard and against heavier opponents, because senpai Trampov is just 90kg, but he fights in the heavy weight where most of the competitors are around 100kg. At the semifinal, he eliminates the hosts' representative Gardner and at the final, he loses against Tomas Turchinskas by decision who knocks all his opponents out in the previous fights. Senpai Trampov is unfairly injured as he is neglected in the choice of competitors for the World cup the same year. At his place goes the hosts' representative who is beaten by Trampov at the semifinal. In 1997 in Sofia, there is a tournament of the challenge in open weight. Senpai Trampov wins the tournament as he defeats sensei Emil Kostov at the final.
1999 - 3rd place at the European championship in Copenhagen in +80kg division. Senpai Trampov wins his first fight with ippon and at the quarterfinal for third time eliminates Gardner from Germany who is in the best 16 at the World championship the same year. At the semifinal in Denmark, senpai Trampov loses against the European champion Rustamov from Azerbaijan.
He is participant at the World championship in 1995. In his debut at World championship, he eliminates in the first round a Canada representative and in the second, he faces the heaviest competitor at the World championship, a Croatia representative. He loses in the last extension with minimum advantage of the Croatian.
2002 - he reaches the 1/8-final at the European cup in open weight division. In the first round, he eliminates the heaviest representative from Ukraine. Dimitar Trampov loses in a hard fight against Lithuania competitor.
2003 - 3rd place at the European championship in Lithuania in 90kg weight division. He wins in the first round with ippon, after that eliminates Stefanovich from Hungary by judge decision and at the semifinal, he loses against Croatian representative.
2004 - 3rd place at the European championship in Plovdiv in 90kg weight division. In the first two rounds senpai Trampov eliminates Czech and Romania representatives and at the semifinal he loses in weight decision against Ukraine competitor. Senpai Trampov takes the tameshivari cup with 14 boards.
He is sportsman № 4 of Plovdiv for 1997 and № 9 for 1999.
Now senpai Trampov is instructor and coach assistant in ASKK "Trakia" in the Central dojo.
