In case any of our readers are wondering just how bright this thing actually is in person, I will tell you. At Shot Show, I turned one on at Surefire's booth, in a totally lit room, and accidentally swept someone in the face with the beam. Let's just say it caused the unfortunate victim of my stupidity a not insignificant amount of occular discomfort(which I appologized for). When I momentarily looked into the light myself, just to see what my unwitting victim had experienced, I, too, suffered the same fate. Not fun. "The Beast" is the brightest flashlight I've ever witnessed. It is simply INSANELY bright. Now, here's the kicker--Surefire has an even brighter flashlight coming out, of which DefRev forgot to ask the name. We will find out, however, and obtain photos of it and "The Beast" as soon as we can. By the way, Surefire's arc-lights make a cool-sounding electrical humming noise when you turn them on. Just a little added bonus.
