What do u mean "it started"? I thought that MMA in Brazil is much older than a colour TV, that it goes since Gracies started to train jiu-jitsu or even earlier.

Of course various vale tudo fights happened before but this video shows the times when all those messy and clandestine fights became sport - with proper places, prizes, rules.. I was maybe 10 ten years old and I remember the great discussion in the media and society. Nice to look at those scenes again;)

Not my friend ! this is not in Rio and they are not organisation ! It happen at Sao Paulo City and there is not MMa organisation under it, just someone that want to make money with thoses figthers!

well there are fighters from RIO HERO'S 1-4 just look at the site [link widoczny dla zalogowanych Użytkowników] and go to the EVENTS section on sites 5,6,7 You've got the events 1-4 and there are all those fights shown in the news on YOUTUBE

There's even the site RIO HERO's SHown and a advertisment WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A RIO HERO

PS THe first RioHeros had place on January2007 and the 2-4 where shown in the next months

now in december we will have Rio Hero's 14
