Illegal Techniques
· No strikes or kicks
· No neck cranks
· No small joints locks (fingers and toes)
· No heel-hooks
· No throws where opponent lands on head/neck only
· No throws with a grip of head/neck only
· No bodyslams
· No covering opponents mouth and/or nose with ones hands
· No knees or elbows on face from top
· No techniques against larynx (front of throat/wind pipe)
· No hair-pulling, fish-hooking, ear-grabbing, eye-gouging, thumbing, biting, scratching, pinching or attacking the groin
· No slippery substances like liniment or oil are allowed on body or clothing

· Clean takedowns, sweeps and throws from standing *
3 points
· Passing the guard *
· Back-mount with hooks *
2 points
· Takedowns that ends in half guard or guard
· Knee on belly position *
· Mount position *
· Flips, sweeps or turn from bottom to top position

· Penalty for jumping from standing into guard
· Penalty for mat escape/fight escape

· Penalty for holding/grabbing the ropes as the opponent is executing a takedown. Only in finals and superfights (which takes place in a ring)
* Note that position should be held/controlled for 3 seconds before points are awarded.
Ways to win
· Submission. If one of the competitors gives up or submits verbally or by tapping with hand or foot.
· Points. If the fight reaches the time limit, the competitor with most points is declared winner.
· Referee's decision. If there is no submission and no points scored when the time is up the referee will decide and declare the winner.
· Referee's stoppage. If one of the competitors is unable to continue the fight, or if the referee feels that one of the competitors is unable to defend him- or herself, the referee will declare the opponent as winner.
· Disqualification. If a competitor breaks the rules twice or if the opponent is unable to continue the fight due to an illegal technique, the competitor will be disqualified.
· Walkover. If a competitor fails to show up to a qualifying fight within 1 minute after announcement, he will loose the fight on walkover.
Time limits
· Qualifying fights will be 5 minutes. Note that if a competitor fails to show up to a qualifying fight within 1minute after announcement, he will loose the fight on walkover.
· Finals and superfight will be 8 minutes with first 4 minutes without points.
Equipment
Mouthpiece, groin cup, knee protection and wrestling shoes are optional. Fighter may use tights, shorts, t-shirt or gi/kimono. No grip in any equipment except gi/kimono.
Fighting area
The qualifying fights will take place on two mats. The finals and superfights will take place in a boxing ring. If the fighters go out of the fighting area the referee will restart the fight in the centre in the same position as they were.
