The Return of KAZUSHI SAKURABA!

Word is surfacing that the return of PRIDE superstar Kazushi Sakuraba is currently scheduled tobe by the end of the fall.
Fans have awaited the return of Japan's most exciting fighter since his second loss in PRIDE to Vanderlei Silva, where he sustained a shoulder injury.
In addition, Sakuraba's personal problems surfaced in many Japanese magazines last year, (as a potential liver problem caused by drinking alcohol). He has apparently made a turn for the better and is taking his return to PRIDE seriously.
He will have to! One prospective opponent being talked about is Vanderlei's teammate Anderson Silva, as well as a potential third fight against Vanderlei himself. Although their third meeting is sure to draw a huge crowd, many fans feel that Silva just has Sak's number. Insiders think that no matter how many times they meet Silva is a bad fight for Sakuraba.
Anderson ia still a risk style wise, but he is closer to Sakuraba's weight. This leads to other rumors, which we must hope DO NOT happen:
There are hints that Sakuraba may face the MUCH larger Mirko Cro-Cop! Sakuraba believes that IF he can get Cro-Cop to the ground, he would beat him. That's a BIG if. Cro-Cop has proven he is more dangerous than people gave him credit for early as only a K-1 fighter.
Other rumors contain talk of Frank Shamrock returning on the same PRIDE show this fall against Tamura. Tamura comes off two straight losses, and he has publicly stated he wants to do pro wrestling (old-RINGS style), so Tamura won't add much credibility to Frank's record, so this may be a prelude to Shamorkc-Sakuraba. Tamura is a fighter whose career was ruined by bad career choices steering him to fight bigger guys (like Bob Zapp and Vanderlei Silva in PRIDE and BABALOO in RINGS).
The appearance of both Shamrock and Sakuraba on the same card is already being played up in the Japanese press. If Frank Shamrock stays in the game and competes in PRIDE on a regular basis, it fuels the fire of a potential fight between him and Sakuraba sometime in 2003.
