Here you will find all the information about the competition. The eventsite will be updated with results and pictures during the whole competition day. With other words, it's as close to a live coverage you get without it being televised or broadcasted the radio.
Submission Wrestling returns to Europe in a big way, with a full blown ADCC Rules Submission Wrestling event scheduled for January 17 th with five tournaments, one in each of the ACC's competition weight classes.
WEIGHT CLASSES:
Under 65.9kg (8 Fighters)
76.9kg (16 Fighters)
87.9kg (16 Fighters)
98.9kg (8 Fighters)
Over 98.9kg (8 Fighters)
56 competitors from over a dozen countries from around the world will compete in the tournaments, which will be judged by the ADCC's team, led by head judge Lubomir Guedjev. 'Lubo' will also host a Submission Wrestling Rules Seminar that is intended to introduce the rules and regulations of Submission Wrestling for the first time, as well as to begin the process of judge certifications.
The principal seminar on the rules will be on the 16th of January, at Rikard Anderson's HILTI BJJ Academy.

Legal Techniques
- Any kind of choke (except for using the hand to close the wind pipe)
with or without the use of the uniform.
- Any armbar, shoulder lock, or wrist lock
- Any Leg Lock or Ankle Lock
Illegal Techniques
- No Neck Crancks
- No striking / kicking of any kind
- No eye gouging or fish hooking
- No grabbing the ears
- No hair pulling, biting
- No finger or toe holds
- No thumbing
- No scratching and pinching
- No touching groin area
- No hands, knees or elbows on face
- No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing

2 -Takedown (ends Guard or Half Guard)
3 -Back mount with hooks
3 -Passing the guard
4 -Clean Sweep
4 -Clean Takedown (ends passed the guard)
Lost points

The referee’s decision/judging can not be overruled!
The winner will be decided according to:
- If one competitor gives up or submits by tapping the leg, arm or verbally
- If Referee feels one competitor is unable to defend himself or feels his life is in danger, the
Referee will declare the winner
- If a fighter breaks the rules twice he will be disqualified by the Referee

Fighting Time
- 5 minutes in ordinary fights
- 8 minutes in the finales (first 4 min without points)
Extra rounds are added if fights are even. The fighter who gets the first point, wins.

-65 kg and under
-66 kg to 77kg
-77 kg to 87kg
-87 kg to 97kg
-99 kg and over
-Absolute class
Equipment
- fighter may use tights, shorts (and T-shirt) or Kimono
Matt
7 x 7 metres tatame
Mat escape, same position as the fighter were in when they crossed the mat line.

Prizes
- Every weight classes’ three best fighters get medals.
- the team that gets most of the points gets the “Best Team Cup.”.
Points: 1st place 5 points; 2nd place 3 points; 3rd place 1 point.
